What are my responsibilities?

• Preparation/participationand support of project teams in customer negotiations to represent thecontractual and legal interests of Siemens including active Claim and VariationManagement
• Active support to work withthe project manager on the contract and claim strategy.
• Contract analysis in termsof claim potential and possible supplementary orders in the phases:Acquisition, Project Kick Off and Execution
• Supporting Project Managersregarding evaluation of contract discrepancies and sourcing appropriatemeasures
• Supporting Project Managersregarding supplementary business opportunities in terms of active Change OrderManagement
• Successfully negotiatingrequests for more (funding, time) as well as defense against claims (customer,suppliers)
• Preparing contractualaspects for further tracking/supporting by Legal Department
• Estimating and evaluatingspecial influences on the projects as early as possible
• Risk identifying andanalysis, coordination suitable countermeasures together with the projectmanager to minimize the risk and thereby reducing costs/NCCs and/or customersdissatisfaction.
• Identification anddevelopment of opportunities: supporting the project managers to implementopportunities in supplementary orders and Project improvements,
• Continuous monitoring ofRisks and Opportunities related to contractual issues.
• Support/advice theManagement board in terms of activity options particularly in crisis/escalationand project status meetings
• Professional support incontractual conflicts if applicable up to and including arbitration.
• Developing and training ofcontract management relevant issues for regional Project Managers/ ProjectCommercials /Purchaser/Project Leaders with a focus on Mobility Specification
• Manage Training/informativemeetings to legal special topics (e.g. effects of new laws)
• Supporting the contractualaspects in line with the PM080/PM100 and contract workshops.
• Supporting Siemens-internalregulations
• Analysis and Annotation ofdiverse international contracts, Consortium contracts, agreements ofconfidentiality as well as discussions with the sales department
• Participation in LoAmeetings with the Management board (if required)
• Customer and Consortiumnegotiations domestically and abroad

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• University degree orequivalent Academic qualification from reputable University or College
• Solid working experiencesin Contract management from similar organization set-up
• Experiences inInterpretation contractual and legal wording
• Ability to Analyze,Strategic Orientated, Organizing & Quality Oriented, Decision Maker andResults Oriented
• Solid work experience inmedium to large projects, preferably in the rail business
• Excellent understanding ofcontract law and market standard legal forms; experience of local legislationwould be an advantage.
• Networking Skills, Coaching& Mentoring and Teamwork mindset  
• Excellent communication& presentation skills shaped with outstanding negotiation skills.
• Very good command of boththe spoken and written English language.
