Your role as the center cog is paramount. You'll orchestrate the symphony of communication technology, including radio systems (TETRA, GSM-R, xG, WiFi), backbone (SDH, MPLS), CCTV, Access Control/Intrusion Detection System, Phone System, and Passenger Information Display and Announcement Systems. Dive into the realm of analyzing customer requirements, crafting technical concepts, and developing tailored solutions that elevate railway communication subsystems.

- Collaborate closely with the Overall System Manager and fellow System Managers, ensuring that the COMS design surpasses all expectations.
- Champion the application scope, both technically and commercially, representing it with prowess to the project management and customers.
- Craft design documentation, system architecture, and requirements that align with industry standards, contractual obligations, and local legislation.
- Uncover new business horizons during project implementation, seizing opportunities like change requests or scope extensions.
- Provide dynamic technical leadership to the communications team, supporting project managers in resource planning and seamless coordination.
- Immerse yourself in hands-on design activities, shaping the Hardware and Software engineering for Communication network, subsystems, and overall system design.
- Collaborate with Project, Product, and Solutions Security Engineers to ensure that the design not only meets but exceeds customer security requirements and industry standards.

To thrive in this role, you have:
- A Master's degree or equivalent experience in an information science or engineering field (e.g., communications engineering or electrical engineering).
- Ten years of professional experience in system management, communication networks design and management, product management, (partial) project management, or research & development.
- Preferred industry background in railway engineering, traffic engineering, or aerospace.
- Excellent knowledge of data transmission / industrial networks and Radio Networks.
- Previous experience in international project environments, an excellent command of the English language (written and verbal), and willingness to travel (up to 20%).
- Knowledge of Test Management and Validation by supporting installation and test activities/teams on-site
- Knowledge of Project Management principles for planning, scheduling, and budget
- Knowledge of Safety & Security Application Rules (SAR and SecAR, respectively) to prepare evidence reports.

The base salary range for this position in Las Vegas, NV, is $120,300 - $162,400, and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
