Job description

The transport of the future is gaining importance, new projects are coming and we are growing!

Now we would like to grow in the area of finance and are looking for a colleague for the role of Project Economist. We are looking for someone who already has experience in Project Management, likes to communicate not only with customers, can handle Excel and also communicates fluently with colleagues from our abroad HQ.

In the role of Project Economist, you will be in charge of projects from the offer phase through its implementation to the very end of the project (warranty phase).

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Cooperation in the creation of contracts (Customer and Supplier contracts)
  • Regular communication with HQ (offers, implementation of projects) and also with the customer in the area of business and economics
  • Communication across departments (Legal, Tax, Accounting)
  • Preparation of project calculations, monitoring and interpretation of deviations of actual values from the plan
  • Adjustment of calculations during the implementation phase of the project
 

As a Project Economist, you must also understand numbers, it mainly concerns these areas:

  • Closing activities (customer invoicing/advance invoices, approval of incoming invoices, creation and dissolution of estimated items, reserves, management/controlling of results on projects monthly)
  • Controlling Profitcenter/overhead cost centres
  • Regular monthly KPI reporting (P&L, FCF, Balance sheet)
  • Cooperation in the creation of a Budget and Forecast
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting
  • Cooperation on audits
 

Key qualifications:

  • Experience in project management in the role of an economist
  • Excellent analytical thinking, reliability, accuracy, independence, and resistance to stress
  • Fluency in Czech and English (telephone and e-mail communication with colleagues within the corporation)
  • Advanced knowledge of Office 365 tools (Excel, Word, Teams)
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles, ability to interpret outputs from reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
 

We appreciate if you have extra:

  • German (B1 level) – we mainly communicate with colleagues from Germany and Austria
  • Knowledge of the basic principles of IFRS
  • SAP
