Your new role –challenging and future-oriented:
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the developmentof combustion aero concepts from preliminary and detailed designs
- Execute analyses to down-selectnew design solutions, to understand the impact of different design solutions onthe fuel air mixing, emissions, performance, and dynamics.
- Contribute to develop as well asexecute the combustion aero technology roadmap in support to the advancedcombustion systems, including the adoption of alternative fuels (i.e. H2)
- Communicate results, findings, andobservations in a clear and concise manner to peers, IPT Leads and combustionmanagement.
- Provide feedbacks to improve/aligncurrent Design philosophies to TFP/Part owner.
- Contribute to project designreviews and status reviews.
- Coordinate university researchprograms in the areas of CFD, experimental testing and/or thermoacoustic.
We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:
- Master’s / Phd degree inMechanical Engineering or related field (or foreign degree equivalent) and [3]years of experience in the job offered or in an
- acceptable alternate occupation.Higher degree can be used in lieu for experience.
- Strong background of subjectknowledge on heat transfer, fluid flow, combustion, reacting flows, turbulencemodeling, mixedness, temperature
- fluctuations, flashback propensityetc.
- Strong background of CFD/FEMmodeling of gas-turbine components for design verifications and evaluation ofresults.
- Knowledge on heat transfermodeling using correlations and various heat augmentation techniques
- Analysis of design data, newdesign concepts and product development.
- Background of CAD modeling, meshgeneration and commercial CFD software (STAR-CCM+, Ansys-workbench, OpenFOAM,COMSOL) is expected.
- Working knowledge of C, C++,Fortan, Matlab, Tecplot, Python, Paraview, MS-Excel is expected.
- Working knowledge of commercialCFD/FEM software in Linux platform is expected.
- Knowledge of design optimizationtool (HEEDS), Java-automation will be preferred.
- Knowledge on 1D tools forcombustion modeling will be preferred.
- Excellent team player to supportand serve the global team.
- High flexibility in taking newtasks/responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills,Excellent English language skills.
- Strong dedication to the productand willingness to own it.
- Solid understanding about theinteractions of quality, costs, and delivery time.
