About the role:
This professional position isresponsible for an accounts receivable client portfolio which also includes themaintaining of the accounts and is part of a larger team. This positionis responsible for resolving overdue invoices and collecting payments. The collection specialist reports into the Global Credit and CollectionsManager and is a key contributor. This role requires consistent interactionwith external customers and internal departments Sales, Services, Finance andLegal to initiate and maintain relationships with customers.
What you will be doing:
- Responsiblefor applying cash across global business unit’s invoices, processing refunds,advance & over-payments in Intacct (ERP).
- Responsiblefor global collection of past due invoices across multiple organizations
- Savebank statements from all banks on SharePoint.
- Followup with customers for any missing remittance advice or discrepancies.
- Identifyand work to resolve all unapplied or unidentified payments.
- Postjournal entries as needed to complete cash applications.
- Shouldpossess good knowledge of order to cash function.
- Abilityto handle and prioritize month/Quarter end closing.
- Goodinterpersonal & conversation skills.
- Shouldbe flexible and proficient in multi-tasking.
- Supportteam partially on other activities like ad-hoc and reporting activities.
- ExcellentMS-Excel & MS Office skills.
- Sharedresponsibility and backup for the Order Ops/Billing team.
Skills/Experiences you will need:
Degree in accounting with 2-3 years of experience inCash applications & Collections.
- Bachelor’sdegree in accounting, or equivalent credit/AR experience field
- Understandsthe importance of accurate accounting for customer invoices and statements.
- Highlyorganized, strong time management, and detail orientated.
- Knowledgeof international credit and collections regulations
- Excellentcommunication skills both verbal and written.
- Abilityto pivot and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Apassion and commitment to personal, team, and company success
- Anability to work independently, use critical thinking skills and recognize whento escalate issues.
The pay range for this position is $39,200 - $67,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
