Job Description

This a joint role with a 50:50% split working with both Siemens Healthineers as an Application Specialist and as a Specialist Radiographer with Cobalt Health, based at the Institute of Translational Medicine (ITM), Queen Elizabeth NHS Trust, Birmingham.

The ITM, a unit run by Cobalt Health, houses a Magnetom Skyra 3.0 tesla system and undertakes both clinical and research examinations. This role would ideally suit an MRI experienced Radiographer who wishes to continue working in a clinical setting, but would like the benefit of developing their knowledge and skills in MRI, by learning about and training other users on the latest technological innovations within the Siemens Healthineers MRI portfolio.

You would gain experience in general MRI, as well as cardiac and advanced neuro procedures. This will be supplemented by the extensive training opportunities provided by Siemens Healthineers through their global applications training program. You will also gain the skills with Siemens Healthineers as an Application Specialist spending time at clinical sites within Great Britain and Ireland.

This role has existed as part of the ITM organisation since the scanner was installed almost two years ago and we are looking for a new candidate to maintain and build upon the excellent collaboration that now exists between the two organisation's.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Experience in an imaging research environment

Experience on 3T MR

Experience with Advanced Neuro MR imaging

Experience with Cardiac MR imaging
