Tasks

·      Become part of our dedicated team and provide impulses for sustainableand efficient mobility. You will be responsible for the material field strategyand procurement for a commodity in the field of mechanical components forinnovative rail vehicles.

·      You will lead a cross-functional team to develop the optimal technicalsolutions together with our suppliers during the development phase and to breakup single-source situations in existing projects.

·      Moreover, you will be responsible for designing procurement strategiesusing game theory methods in order to achieve the optimum cost/benefit positionfor projects.

·      You will manage suppliers in terms of performance and quality andimplement supplier development measures on your own initiative.

·      Further, you will analyze global procurement markets and identifysuppliers, capacities, and technologies.

·      Also, you will consistently and proactively drive forward the topics ofdigitalization and process optimization in your area of responsibility.

Skills

·      The basis ofyour success is a degree in economics or a technical or scientific degree (Master's/Diploma),alternatively, successfully completed vocational training in the technical orcommercial field and corresponding professional experience.

·      In addition, you will convince us with many years of professionalexperience in international strategic purchasing, alternatively ininternational technical project management.

·      You have gained this expertise in a technical business field.

·      As a result, you have expert knowledge of SAP and common data analysismethods (e.g., CELONIS).

·      Also, you have extensive experience in managing cross-functional teamsin an international context.

·      You feel at home in an intercultural environment and are fluent inEnglish and speak good German. Further language skills are a plus.

What else should I know?

The gross annual payment for this job vacancy is atleast EUR 55.300,00 (full-time). Siemens as an international company offersadditional social benefits.
