Since March 2017, Siemens Bank GmbH operates a merchant bank branch in Singapore which primarily runs the credit and guarantee business in the Asia Australiaregion.

The Business Administration Officer acts as interface between the central finance function of Siemens Bank GmbH in Munich and the local management of Siemens Bank GmbH, Singapore Branch. The role supports the management of Siemens Bank GmbH, Singapore Branch, in all aspects concerning accounting, controlling, regulatory reporting and business administration.

Collaborating with Siemens Bank GmbH in Munich, the business administration officer is responsible for supervisory returns to be filed to MAS. Running the cost center controlling and interacting with the central finance team of Siemens Bank GmbH, the business administration officer enables Branch Management to gain a sound understanding of the financial performance of the Branch. In addition, the business administration officer acts as outsourcing officer on behalf of the local management of Siemens Bank GmbH, Singapore Branch, and ensures the adequate documentation of outsourcing arrangements according to MAS standards.

As such, the business administration officer also actively contributes to the ongoing development of the internal organization of Siemens Bank GmbH, Singapore Branch

What are my responsibilities?

· Ensure timely and correct reporting of regulatory returns to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in collaboration with the central Supervisory Reporting Function of Siemens Bank.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory monitoring requirements as defined by MAS in collaboration with the central Supervisory Reporting Function of Siemens Bank.
· Run controlling processes of Siemens Bank GmbH, Singapore Branch (cost center controlling, cost allocations) and support procurement processes of the Branch, interact with the central finance function of Siemens Bank.
· Control outsourced functions relevant to Siemens Bank GmbH, Singapore Branch, and ensure adequate documentation according to MAS standards, collaborate with the Siemens Bank Outsourcing Committee.
· Act as division country controller (cost center controlling, cost allocations) of Siemens Financial Services activities in the region Asia/Pacific outside Siemens Bank.
· Ensure local IT Security, Business Continuity Management and integration into SBA Group Business Continuity Management.
· Training of employees and partners, when and if required.
· Deputy for CO/AML/CFT/ ECC Officer.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· Degree in Business Administration (or similar).
· Possess minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in 2 of the following areas (preferably in a bank): (a) supervisory reporting; (b) accounting & controlling; (c) outsourcing/contract management.
· Highly motivated, self-started personality that enjoys working independently. Sound judgment is a crucial criterion.
· Expert knowledge of bank processes.
· High team spirit and ability to co-ordinate and collaborate.
· Interaction with colleagues and partners in an international environment is crucial.
· Excellent English language skills. Skills in other languages (particularly German) are an advantage.
· Ideally training in Supervisory Reporting, Controlling, Accounting and/or Outsourcing Controlling.
· Ideally training in Singapore/ German law.
· Ideally familiar with OneSumX IT tool.
