The Project Quality Manager will be responsible for simultaneously executing the Quality Control Plan (QCP) for multiple UMCS projects on US Army installations in Northern Alaska. Why is this so important? The right candidate will provide leadership to a team that will provide technical expertise and act as the subject matter expert with local customers on all issues related to project work. 

As a Project Quality Manager, you will:

  • Delegate, coordinate and direct all quality control activities
  • Coordinate project testing, inspections, and reporting.
  • Ensure conformance of work products to drawings and specifications with respect to materials, workmanship, and functional performance.
  • Organize and conduct meetings and inspections.
  • Direct establishment and operation of QC Checklists and Installation/Testing Plans based on types of equipment being installed.
  • Monitor contractor construction compliance with field testing, reporting and QC Checklists.
  • Maintain a complete set of approved construction documents.
  • Train QC inspection team to observe elements of construction methods.

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or business management
  • Five years of experience managing projects with similar Roles and Responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English 
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity or experience with Building Automation Systems
  • Communication skills: provide clear and concise directions; interface with variety of participants including but not limited to government staff, engineers, and trades people.
  • Ability to track QC and construction activities in numerous projects at different stages of development, installation, and close-out.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications with special emphasis on mechanical equipment and trades.
  • High level of competence with:
    • File management including logic and accepted file folder and naming methods
    • Microsoft 365 applications
    • Manipulation of Portable Document Formats (.pdf)
  • Ability to comfortably work in partially heated construction zones with strict compliance of safety standards.

  • The pay range for this position is $108,850 - $186,600 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
