Job description

Siemens Healthineers is looking for a talented and collaborative Biochemistry Scientist to join our inclusive team in Llanberis. The Biochemistry Scientist role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.

As a Biochemistry Scientist in the Critical Raw Material Manufacturing Team, your day-to-day activities will involve antibody (monoclonal and polyclonal) purification, the manufacture of affinity columns in-house, and antigen and antibody conjugation, including biotinylation and alkaline phosphatase conjugation.

In your first few weeks in this Biochemistry Scientist role, you can expect to:

  • Carry out planned work to achieve key milestones
  • Maximise efficiency through prioritisation of work
  • Perform laboratory biochemical techniques relating to protein purification and conjugation processes
  • Generate reports and participate in meetings to support relevant processes where required.

To apply for this Biochemistry Scientist role, you will need to be a graduate in a science discipline, ideally postgraduate, or have extensive relevant industry experience. You will also require the following:

  • Relevant transferrable skills through experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically related to conjugation and downstream purification
  • Knowledge of conjugation strategies
  • Advanced laboratory skills and practices
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of scientific data analysis tools and techniques.
