What are my responsibilities ?

·  Monitoring and Controlling of BHS operations ensuring smooth baggage flow with minimum or no
·  interruptions.
·  Control and supervision of all operations and maintenance activities to achieve overall target of system availability in respective area.
·  Ensure fallback procedures are in place during system interruptions or breakdown situations.
·  Ensure proper communicationfrom control room to Field Supervisors/ Technicians for proper fault finding.
·  In case of system anomaly, provide technical advise to FieldSupervisors/ Lead Technician as basis for any operational decisions.
·  Ensure proper hand over/ take over of shifts with all information/ongoing works passed on to the next shift Supervisor. Log all the daily activities and anomalies in the log book.
·  Ensure that the requirement of the DA, HSE Department is adhered to and all staff. Take appropriate precautions at all times during his working hours and be responsible for maintaining Standard Operating Procedure at all times.
·  Ensure all QHSE procedure of SD (Middle East) are adhered.

What do I need to qualify for the role ?

·  Minimum qualification of a Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation or Mechanical or Electrical or Electronic Engineering
·  A Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar field within the Baggage Handling Industry
·  Leading groups of technicians and being liable for them.
·  Good understanding of 'SCADA'/'PLC' systems required.
·  Mandatory to communicate in english language and important to have worked in different cultural areas adapting to the cultural work ethics
