What will you do?
- Work daily from customer’s site and participate onsite customer project technical meetings.
- Understand customer’s daily technical challenges, project risks
- Provide technical support to customer’s challenges like PLC programming & configuration issues, data structures etc. Prepare ladder logic design patches for the projects in installation / commissioning phase
- Review PLC, HMI and device configuration prepared by suppliers, machine builders, contractors and provide automation technical support during site acceptance testing, commissioning of the machines
- Coordinate the provision of technical support with Siemens Canadian technical support team, global head office team, EPC, system integrators, global machine builders
- Support project manager during project execution in order to minimize time and cost impact of onsite design modification during debugging, commissioning etc
- Channel product delivery related issues and additional training needs to your Canadian colleagues at Siemens Canada
- Provide customer’s project activities updates to Siemens Capture Team on regular basis
- Monitor the consistent application of programming and data structures by the EPC, global machine builders at the end user and EPC site.
- Provide efficient solution with faster response to customer’s challenges like product delivery related risks, technical risks, process optimizations, trainings needs, etc.
- Coordinate and support sales and Battery Account Manager in defining and executing on sales opportunities in close collaboration with presales support team from DI business units
- Act as liaison and trusted partner within customer’s team
What will you need to succeed?
- University or college degree in mechatronics engineering, electrical engineering, or related engineering fields (industrial automation background is preferred).
- More than 2-4 years working experience in industries with engineering, Drives and PLC programming, process automation projects in combination of effective customer orientation and readiness to agile working, multi-tasking, and regular based traveling
- In-depth knowledge of PLCs and SCADA programming and configuration including professional software tools
- Collaborative, self sufficient and ability to work independently at customer site and in team environment
- Excellent communication skills, bilingual, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with internal and external partners of all levels to conduct meetings, workshops etc
