This position is apart of the Atlas Graduate Program with Siemens Electronic Design Automation(EDA). Through this program, you will receive 12 months of technical andnon-technical training, mentorship from Siemens EDA executives and world-classengineers, and learn what it is like to work as part of a company that issolving software challenges in the area of electronic design automation.

We have an opportunity for a highly motivated Software Engineer to workin the Questa Simulator and Verification R&D group in the Design,Verification & Test (DVT) Division. You will be part of a high-performingR&D team responsible for designing and developing high performance,enhanced capacity & functional enhancements to the Questa verificationproducts involving functional verification of hardware designs. In this roleyou will work on the implementation of compilers involving Hardware DescriptionLanguages (HDL) like SystemVerilog and VHDL. If you enjoy working on these,this is a position to consider.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will work on the implementation of compilers involvingHardware Description Languages (HDL) like SystemVerilog and VHDL for the QuestaSimulator. You will work closely with a senior engineering team based inPacific Northwest along with R&D teams in India and Egypt. You will collaboratewith quality assurance, technical publications, marketing, and customer supportto deliver high-quality products on schedule, and participate in planning, scheduling,and estimation of tasks.
Required Knowledge/Skills,Education, and Experience:
• Bachelor’s or Master'sdegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, orrelated discipline
• Programming in C/C++ on Linux.
• Good understanding of data-structures, algorithms, andcomputer science fundamentals
• Strong analysis,design, debugging and problem-solving skills
• Adherence totenets of quality software development and craftsmanship
• Proven attentionto detail, the ability to accurately estimate software tasks and to work toschedule
• Self-motivation,the desire to take technical ownership, and a results-driven positive attitudeand team-orientation
• Good verbal,written, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Experience with large software development projects (code reviews, version management, unit tests, static/dynamic code checkers)
• Experience with multi-threaded, distributed, computational geometry, and high-performance computing
• Familiarity with digital design and verification process and tools
• Experience with UNIX and/or LINUX platforms
The salary range for this position is $30.96/hr to $55.72/hr and this role is eligible to earn another 3% in variable pay. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
