This position is a part of the Atlas Graduate Program with Siemens Electronic Design Automation (EDA). Through this program, you will receive 12 months of technical and non-technical training, mentorship from Siemens EDA executives and world-class engineers, and learn what it is like to work as part of a company that is solving software challenges in the area of electronic design automation.

You will join the Calibre IC Manufacturing Solutions team which is the industry-leading integrated circuit (IC) manufacturing solutions, built on an integrated hierarchical platform, deliver foundry success by enabling fast ramp and maximizing process yield through the entire technology node life cycle.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting our industry leading platform Calibre Computational Lithography. You will have the opportunity to work on high performance, massively parallel and distributed processing platform as well as algorithms. Desgin and implement such algorithms and data structures for computational lithography products to satisfy accuracy, speed and cost of ownership requirements from customers. You will team up with a group of senior software engineers to contribute to new components and algorithms and to support existing components. You will collaborate with quality assurance, technical publications, marketing, and customer support to deliver high-quality products on schedule, and participate in planning, scheduling and estimation of tasks.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Parallel and distributed programming in C/C++ on Linux.
• Familiar with GPU programming under NVIDIA CUDA platform.
• Strong analysis, design, debugging and problem solving skills
• Adherence to tenets of quality software development and craftsmanship
• Proven attention to detail, the ability to accurately estimate software tasks and to work to schedule
• Self-motivation, the desire to take technical ownership, and a results-driven positive attitude and team-orientation
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Experience with large software development projects (code reviews, version management, unit tests, static/dynamic code checkers)
• Experience with multi-threaded, distributed, computational geometry, and high-performance computing
• Familiar with GPU programming other than NVIDIA CUDA platform such as HIP, OpenACC, etc.
• Familiarity with digital and custom physical implementation tools from Cadence, Synopsys, or Siemens EDA (Mentor Graphics)
• IC CAD experience (DRC, LVS, extraction, simulation) and solid knowledge of semiconductor processes
• Experience with UNIX and/or LINUX platforms
If you reside in the Bay Area the salary range for this position is $38.31/hr to $68.99/hr and this role is eligible to earn another 3% in variable pay.
