Job Description

Join us as an Area Sales Professional, bringing with you a background in technical service & solutions sales. This role will predominately focus on fire and security systems with opportunities to introduce the wider Smart Infrastructure portfolio.

This opportunity will be homebased with regular travel, predominantly covering the Manchester Area but also branching out to the wider Midlands Region therefore being located in and around the Manchester or Midlands area would be ideal.

Through the creation and implementation of a detailed sales plan you will develop and define strategic objectives for the area addressing new solutions, new service contracts and digital offerings. Alongside the Sales Team Manager you will ensure clear selection of sales channels to be addressed predominantly focusing on end users and consultants.

· Support the Sales Strategy by developing and executing a personal Sales Plan which highlights customer and competitor trends, identifies true market potential and uncovers specific customer needs.
· Identify and implement effective targeting activities and behaviors, using appropriate CRM tools and Key Performance Indicators ensuring both financial and strategic sales targets are measured, tracked and achieved.
· Ensure that Ownership culture is in place and is at the core of all strategies and business-plans. Demonstrate a proactive approach towards customers and opportunities maintaining this throughout the sales lifecycle. Collaborate with support teams ensuring they work effectively together to deliver a positive result.
· Ensure that effective personal networks are established which enable the team to engage with nominated Target Accounts. Understand the customer's requirements to ensure that clear unambiguous value propositions are developed and communicated using appropriate tools.
· Agree financial targets and provide rolling forecasts ensuring that personal performance is above target for both input metrics and output goals.

What you need to make real what matters.

· Experience in a successful sales environment and winning new customers. Ability to work to tight deadlines and targets and keep the support team focused on their goals.
· The ability to prioritise workloads, including the ability to multi-task effectively. Self-motivated with good analytical skills, both tactical and strategic. Possessing a good level of commercial acumen and experience.
· Experience of working within a team, acting as a major deal architect. Having worked with a wide range of customers and consultants whilst promoting a wide portfolio using different forms of media, networking, exhibitions and CPDs.
· Good communication skills, verbal, written and presentation ideally with experience of using sales costing tools and CRM tools.
