We are recruiting school and college leavers to join our Rail apprenticeship scheme who want to make a difference and develop their skills in Engineering.
Here is how the programme works:
Whilst on the Apprenticeship you will be following an apprenticeship standard ST0316

The programme structure and duration will be dependent on the apprenticeship standard you will be following. This will be confirmed when you join us but could include one of the following methods of learning:
- Day release at college
- Block release
- Online learning
In some instances you may be in college full time during your first year.
Whilst working towards a formal qualification you will also work as part of a team on real life projects within the workplace.
The candidate:
We are looking for forward-thinking, inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following characteristics:
- You think logically, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
- You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
- You can work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
- Identify with our values of Zero Harm, Innovative, Excellent and Responsible. We can teach you the knowledge on your apprenticeship however its also means a lot to us for you to align to our culture and behaviours.
Minimum Educational Requirements:
- It is preferred that you would be on track to achieve or have achieved both a Level 2 engineering competence (foundation/NVQ) qualification and a Level 3 engineering knowledge (BTEC) qualification.
- If you have none of the above qualifications, if you do have A Level Maths and Physics, this would be considered.
