About the role / Segment
The Tessent division seeks a highly motivated, creative, and energeticindividual as Product Engineer – Analog Test / Design for Test (DFT), specializing in design-for-test (DFT) and AnalogElectronics. Tessent is the market and technology leader of automated tools forinsertion of semiconductor design-for-test (DFT) structures, automatic testpattern generation (ATPG), embedded deterministic compression (EDT), memorybuilt-in self-test (MBIST), logic built-in self-test (LBIST), diagnosis-drivenyield analysis (DDYA), and hierarchical DFT solutions such as Streaming ScanNetwork (SSN). This position presents a great opportunity to stay involvedtechnically while getting exposure to marketing and interacting with sales.
Area ofresponsibility
- Define and characterize new product capabilities needed to meet customer requirements.
- Work collaboratively with Tessent R&D to prototype, evaluate, and test new DFT products and features within complex IC design flows.
- Lead beta programs and support beta partners.
- Drive product adoption.
- Create and deliver in-depth technical presentations, develop training material, white papers, contributed articles, and application notes.
- Develop and review tool documentation such as User and Reference manuals.
- Work with customers as well as Siemens EDA stakeholders such as regional application engineers, global support engineers, and marketing.
- Work through complex technical issues and independently create solutions and new methodologies.
- Explain complex principles in simple terms to broad audiences.
- Some travel, domestic and international.
Your qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following combination ofeducation and experience:
- BSdegree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, ComputerEngineering, or related field is required.
- Musthave 3-5 years of experience, including experience in analog design, test, orDFT for ICs, including some of the following areas: IEEE 1687 IJTAG, analogfault simulation, test generation.
- Exposureto one or more adjacent IC disciplines such as the following a plus:
- AnalogIC design and simulation
- Analogdefect/fault injection
- RTL codingand verification using Verilog/SystemVerilog
- Synthesisand timing analysis
- Placeand route
- AdvancedIC packaging
- DFTand test for embedded IP cores
- Failurediagnosis
- ATEuse / test program development
- Proficiencyin a scripting language like TCL (preferred) or Python
- Experiencewith Tessent products such as Tessent DefectSim or Tessent ScanPro, TessentIJTAG and/or other Tessent software, as well as familiarity with Tessent Shell anddesign flows is a plus
- Self-motivatedand results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellentorganizational skills
- Excellentwritten and verbal English language communication skills
- Knowledgeof IC design trends and emerging requirements
- Proficiencyin LINUX and Windows environments
- Locationcan be remote, hybrid, or in-office at the following Tessent locations:
- Ottawaor Saskatoon (Canada), Hamburg (Germany), Poznan (Poland), Wilsonville(Oregon), Fremont (California)
