Duties: Ensuringthe technical success of customers in their use of company software, Simcenter3D, and Nastran. Working closely with customers to understand their mechanicalengineering workflow. Proposing solutions and best practices to help clientsmeet their objectives and improve their engineering processes. Providingclassroom training, mentoring, and direct customer support. Collaborating withthe sales organization to discover opportunities to grow usage within accountsand engage the customer. Communicating interdepartmentally in a fastpaced andclient-facing environment. Providing feedback to design engineers on customerproblems or needs. Providing technical customer service. Conferring withengineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve systemmalfunctions, and provide technical information. Assist drafters in developingthe structural design of products using Siemens CAE software. Solicit newbusiness via support functions.
Requirements: Theemployer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in MechanicalEngineering or related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered, asan Engineer, or in a related occupation. The position requires experience inthe following: Working with structural FEA, including non-linear, static anddynamic analysis; Working with fatigue analysis and fracture mechanics; Workingwith NX CAD software; Working with Simcenter Nastran; Performing structuralanalysis, dynamic forced response, advanced nonlinear, superelement components,design optimization, topology-optimization, steady-state, and transient thermalanalysis; Assisting with common design processes, objectives, and constraintsin aerospace and turbomachinery. 20% domestic travel required. 90%telecommuting permitted within a commutable distance.
