There is an outstanding opportunity to get in at the ground floor of an expansion of EDA support, and R&D with the establishment of the Siemens EDA Calibre R&D team in Hsinchu. This year, the site is scheduled to expand further, and continue to grow the EDA product line they build and support.

We are seeking a highly motivated software engineer to work in the Calibre engineer team with self-motivation, self-discipline and the ability to set personal goals and work consistently towards to them in a multifaced enviroment. Analysis to problem solving skills to quickly integrate in team.

Incremental PERC R&D headcount to work on TSMC PERC projects including R0 MTflex, 3DIC, PID, restart flows (including cloud) and machine learning to make customer satisfied and expand PERC markets with strong ability to learn and explore new technologies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. MS or PhD or equivalent experience in CS, EE or related subject area
2. With excellent programming skills in C, C++, shell scripting, python, and/or TCL/TK on UNIX/LINUX platforms
3. 3+ years of validated practice of software engineering experience developing tools in EDA tools. Knowledge of IC physical design, layout, and verification tools is highly preferred
4. Prior experience with DRC/LVS/RCX/PERC is helpful and knowledge of Machine Learning is desired. 

JOB DUTIES:
1. Contribute to the development of the Calibre platform and helping with the interaction with key engineers of leading semiconductor manufacturing companies based in Taiwan
2. Crafting, developing, debugging and supporting Calibre PERC software
3. Collaborate with a broad team of software engineers, product engineers, and customers by contributing with new applications and improvements of existent components
