What will you do?

As an integral part of the Sales Team in our Smart Infrastructure, Building Technologies division, the Sales Assistant’s focus is to actively assist the team during the entire sales process, performing activities such as:

  • Supporting the Sales Team for day-to-day requests, such as processing purchase orders, opening of sales and project files, etc.
  • Help prepare submission reports along with various other information transmitted to clients
  • Preparation of the qualification documentation for invitations to tender.
  • Coordination of the legal review of contracts with the various departments, compliance etc
  • Carry out monthly tasks, including data entry for monthly sales forecasts and initiative follow-ups with representatives
  • Manage monthly meetings with representatives in order to follow up on initiatives
  • Regularly verify and notify representatives of all new projects included on sites, such as SEAO (electronic tendering system of the Government of Quebec), Merx (electronic tendering system of the Government of Canada), etc.
  • Provide support to management (various meetings, communications, plans and reservations)
  • Coordinate training activities and take part in the planning and organization of events (such as lunch and learns) and special projects
  • Coordinate local Siemens activities
  • Perform other administrative support tasks as required
 

What will you need to succeed?

  • DEC in administration or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in administrative sales support
  • Experience working with or within the construction industry, a strong asset
  • Strong organizational, relationship and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Practical knowledge of SAP an asset
  • Able to work on deadline and adapt to change
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with others
  • Able to manage priorities while working autonomously;
  • Very good knowledge of French both written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of English both written and spoken to interact with colleague on a national level and in the US
