Sr Associate, Treaty Mapping - Operations

Job description

This position is responsible for maintaining client treaty, plan, risk class and other data fields within SCOR systems as well as serving as the primary mapping contact for clients.

·  BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, insurance, or business, or equivalent experience. 
·  3+ years of reinsurance administration experience; reinsurance, insurance or related business or product knowledge
·  Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills
·  Experience with data analysis, SQL queries preferred
·  Proficient in Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Formulas)
·  Demonstrated attention to detail
·  Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results quickly
·  Demonstrated ability to handle a production type workload
·  Experience with analyzing data in relation to treaty/contract requirements
·  Ability to communicate and present complex issues/results in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner
·  Ability to work closely on a team with business users to investigate and resolve data related issues 
·  Knowledge of SCOR data processing and stakeholder needs is strongly desired 
·  Demonstrated ability to work independently and improve processes 
·  Must have a strong desire to learn and to do more than the minimum required 
·  Strong oral & written communication skills 
·  Perform the review and control of mappings of client data to SCOR treaties/contracts, risk classes, and related information (e.g., products, files, etc.)
·  Ensure all client data file validations are completed in a timely manner in alignment with production data loading goals
·  Provide subject matter expertise in the resolution of mapping-related Business Rule Exceptions in support of production and/or project goals   
·  Ensure proper storage/archiving of client communications, CRGs, mapping files, etc. in secure SCOR drive and CCE
·  Coordinate with Data Services for solutions to client reporting changes
·  Work with Data Quality staff to ensure that all client data files are received and properly stored in a timely manner 
·  Adhere to controls and processing guidelines, including the documentation and approval of data re-mappings and other material changes
·  Provide status reporting to management for Treaty Mapping responsibilities and issues 
·  Review, analyze, and evaluate operational business processes to drive continual performance improvement and effective collaboration for new business and inforce processing/reporting
·  Manage and resolve complex business issues through research and interaction with cross-functional departments and communicate status and ramifications of issues effectively throughout the organization
