Required Education
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Key duties and responsibilities
· Analyze, evaluate, and research information received from internal and external clients for contracts, amendments and related documents that provide accepted and retroceded reinsurance.
· Consistently demonstrate a complete understanding of SCOR Life & Health US and/or Canada standard contract clauses and provide a thorough analysis of existing contracts or client prepared documents as they relate to SCOR Life & Health US and/or Canada standard clauses, in accordance with any internal escalation and approval policy(ies).
· Generate contracts for reinsurance arrangements in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with established metrics. Incorporate data in accordance with SCOR Life & Health US and/or Canada requirements and in compliance with relevant jurisdictional laws and regulations.
· Secure agreement and execution of final terms by reinsurance business partners in compliance with regulatory mandates and internal standards for timely and accurate execution.
· Consult, as needed, with management and Law Department regarding the interpretation or clarification of contracts that may impact the company's liability.
· Effectively utilize contract workflow management systems and electronic storage systems to facilitate transparent communication of contract and document status and progress.
· Accurately respond to inquiries from internal and external clients in a concise, professional and timely manner.
· Understand, interpret and apply applicable international, US state and federal laws and regulations related to the preparation of reinsurance agreements.
· Coordinate interaction between marketing actuaries, pricing actuaries, operations and external clients for the efficient and accurate delivery of contracts.
· Educate and provide leadership to other Contract Associates, company personnel and external clients on internal and industry business practices and norms applicable to reinsurance agreements.
· Lead or participate in special projects, as directed by management.
· Represent the Contracts Department during SCOR Life & Health US and/or Canada intra-departmental meetings.
· May perform other duties as required.
