Job description
This position will give the job holder the chance to work as part of an established Reserving team, providing a wide range of actuarial reserving services for Lloyd’s and non-Lloyds entities. A key part of the role will be to lead the quarterly and annual reserving processes, a wide variety of reserving projects and collaborating with different teams.
Required experience & competencies
Experience
· Relevant non life (re)insurance work experience
· Lloyd’s/London Market reserving experience including UK GAAP, Solvency II and IFRS17
· Knowledge of following software:
· Microsoft Office applications
· ResQ software
· VBA experience
· SQL language or R coding
· Tableau / Python experience
· Knowledge of regulatory requirements and an understanding of how they impact on the business

Required Education
· Fully qualified actuary
· Practising certificate of the IFOA
The main tasks are:
· Lead the analysis of the technical reserves on a quarterly basis for multiple lines of business, with a focus on Solvency II
· Lead reserving projects, such as automation of current processes and modelling of specific lines of business
· Improve certain models, visualisation tools and dashboards
· Lead the annual review of the UK portfolio and contribute to the actuarial report for the various UK legal entities
· Carry out regular or ad hoc studies for specific segmentsWork closely with claims team, finance team, underwriters and underwriting management and other members of the actuarial team to develop, review and maintain appropriate tools and methodologies
· Communicate with external Actuaries, Auditors and external regulators when required
· Assist the UK Head of Reserving in their regulatory duties
· Help enhance management information and reporting for Lloyd’s, PRA and ACPR
· Communicate key movements/trends/events to the business on a quarterly basis, presenting at Management meetings and Reserving Committees.
· As part of the Actuarial Function duties under Solvency II, participate in the regulatory reporting (SII Technical Provisions, QRTs, NSTs…) and the writing of the Actuarial Function Report in conjunction with other legal entities of the SCOR Group
