P&C Expenses Analyst Intern

Job description
Within the Technical Closing team, the P&C Expenses closing team is responsible for calculations and production of quantitative information related to Expenses in IFRS17 and Solvency 2. The team is also the main contact of several internal stakeholders to provide data related to Expenses for studies and analysis. The Expenses analyst Intern will support these different tasks, with a strong focus on expenses allocations analysis.
Experience and skills
· At least 6 months experience in a Finance department
· Having a previous experience in the Insurance sector would be a plus but not mandatory
· Excellent at confronting and analyzing data
· Proactive and autonomous in contacts within the team and with other teams
· Open to share about your work progress and ask questions to move forward
· Good communication skills (both oral and written)
Education
· Master’s degree (University or Business School “stage de fin d’études”)
Language
· This role involves verbal and written discussions with people across the globe, English is the common daily work language.
Systems and tools
· Strong knowledge of Excel functionalities
Within the P&C Technical Closing team, and under the supervision of the Expenses Senior Analyst:
1) Organize the review of expenses allocation to business.
This will encompass defining the methodology, organizing the review in coordination with the local entities’ stakeholders, assessing and presenting the impacts.
Once methodology has been designed, prepare a model for periodic reviews and analysis.
2) Participate in the IFRS17 P&C technical closing.
On a quarterly basis, support tasks related to Closing, on the scope of expenses, mainly by preparing reports and supporting analysis.
3) Work on reports automation
Either within the team, or in relation with reporting tools experts, identify, suggest, and develop automations of existing reports, or suggest new ones and support their developments.
This role will lead the intern to work in close relation with stakeholders located in SCOR’s local entities, as well as with the Group and Business Units contacts on Expenses
