Job description
The position is based in Paris, mostly in charge, but not exclusively, of performing audit assignments in the EMEA region on operations relating to L&H, P&C and Investment business units as well as all other functions. Audit engagement preparation and execution are closelycoordinated with the Head of Group Internal Audit and benefit from other Group Internal Audit resources.
GIA reports directly to the SCOR Group CEO and functions under the responsibility of the Chairman of the Audit Committee of SCOR SE.
Experience:
· Significant audit experience with a multinational company, preferably withininsurance / reinsurance, bank/ financial sectorand/or audit firm
· Sound experience in setting-up and conducting interviews, including exploratory interviews, with employeeson different management levels and various culturalbackgrounds
· Excellent English in both writing and verbally
Personal competencies:
· Strong verbaland written communication skills, language Skills (English a must plus other languagesa benefit)
· Strong ability to understand complex and various business processes and interactions, strong capacity to analyzerisks by takinginto account both the strategy adopted by the company and the business environment, and exercising judgment when taking decisions / alerting the supervisors
· Ability to organize the audit steps executions pragmatically, timely, efficiently and independently, maintaining the requiredquality level in analysis and working papersdocumentation, and superviseinternal auditors part of the assignment
· Flair to communicate openlyand clearly, verballyand in writing and readinessto hold challenging discussions, and to suggest recommendations and assess corresponding management action plans.
· Ability to articulate and write accurate, clear, and complete deliverables (work papers, audit reports, follow-up reports)
· Highest degree of ethicsand integrity
Performs audit procedures subject to the Deputy Head supervision:
· Based on the assignment objectives, develops the audit strategy and preliminary risk assessment, and audit work program
· Conduct interviews, analyze documents, developsand administer surveys,compose summary memos, and preparesworking papers alignedwith the audit working framework (field work could take place in countriesother than France, whereSCOR Operates (aroundone to two months a year, with usually two week fieldwork)).
· As part of the audit scope defined, analyze how risks are being mitigated and identify related issues and their components: criteria, conditions, causes, consequences, corrective actions i.e. recommendations, by reviewing processes, procedures and systems, testing transactions and analyzing results and supporting evidences and documenting the audit working papers accordingly
· Communicates the audit resultsvia oral presentation and written correspondence and reports, to management
· In the absence of the Supervisor during the execution of the audit fieldwork, when assigned by the Supervisor, leads and supervises the other auditorsassigned, and reviewsthe accuracy, qualityand completeness of the work and deliverables produced
· Participates to the works related to the recommendations follow-up
Throughout the assignments and as part of the department’s activities:
· Acquires and maintains the holistic view and an understanding of the internal audit role in the company’s governance, risk, compliance and internal control framework
· Contributes to internal discussions related to the annual audit plan on the regionas triggered by the Deputy Head
· Develops and maintains productive objective relationships with stakeholders and team members,aligned with the roleof GIA and with a mindset to add value, through individual contacts and group meetings
· Develop initiative and judgement undergeneral supervision of the Deputy Head
· Commits to pursue professional development opportunities, includingexternal and internal training and professional association memberships, and sharesinformation gained with co-workers
· Keep abreast of relevantcorporate and professional topics, and deep understanding of SCOR’s strategy, organization, businessand operations
