Job description

The role of Junior Internal Retrocession will be an integral part of the Capital Management team at SCOR, focusing primarily on internal retrocession. The role involves a deep understanding of pricing, contract management, and requires to build and maintain strong connections with other Finance, Risk and Business teams.

Required experience & competencies

Essential

·  Up to 2/3 years in finance or pricing department of a reinsurance / insurance company or in an audit firm, preferably in the reinsurance / insurance industry
·  Very good communication skills, including ability to communicate with senior management: good listening skills and communicates clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
·  Team player, collaborative spirit, comfortable in agile working mode
·  Excellent Analytical and Synthesis skills.
·  Strong command of IT tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ability to learn new tools quickly.

Required Education 

·  Engineering degree, Actuarial degree or Master degree (equivalent or above) in Finance/Audit/Controlling/Business.

Key duties and responsibilities:

Internal Retrocession: Oversee and manage internal retrocession processes to ensure efficiency and alignment with company objectives and the financial strategy of SCOR.

Most of the work will be on P&C topics.  However, the position may also include involvement in general capital management activities, Life internal retro topics or special projects.  

Main responsibilities will be: 

Retrocession:

·  Pricing Analysis
·  Evaluate and set optimal pricing strategies for different internal retrocession contracts, ensuring consistency with SCOR pricing models, assumptions and methods.
·  Deliver detailed analyses backing the proposed prices, ensuring stakeholders have a clear understanding of the rationale and value proposition.
·  Develop and use knowledge of Group structure to adapt recommendations to local context (regulatory, business development, etc.) and local acceptability. 
·  Build relationships with local management, and provide advice and support to local entities.
·  Contract Management : Handle the retrocession contractual side of retrocession, ensuring that contracts are accurate, compliant, and up-to-date.
·  Stakeholder relationship : Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure seamless integration of retrocession data into financial and Risks systems.
·  Reporting : Prepare and present regular reports on retrocession performance, pricing strategies, and contract management.
·  Continuous Improvement : Seek ongoing opportunities for optimizing processes in internal retrocession and associated functions.

·  Help to drive stakeholders’ involvement and delivery of outputs, coordinate and/or keep them informed through appropriate channels and tools (meetings, presentations, etc.).

Provide support to the projects for Capital & Liquidity topics and ensure that finance/capital management is kept informed and involved in decisions in the project.
