Job Summary
Head of Business Analytics, South Asia will support the Deputy Head of South Asia (TBC) to manage the reporting on business performance / inforce management for South Asia. The work includes sharing and presenting deep dive analyses on key driver of business performance, and insights to the various stakeholders in South Asia and the division. In addition, the role has a key component to maintain and further improve and enhance our Business Performance reporting process as the business in South Asia continues to expand and evolve within the FGM.
Experience:
· 10 or more years of relevant working experiences in fields related to insurance/reinsurance/accounting, preferably with at least 5 years in accounting, reporting matters and data analysis or insurance audit
· Strong Accounting and IFRS knowledge including IFRS 17, with insurance context
· Solid data management skills
· Strong experience on communication of complex financials to multiple stakeholders, including senior management
· Strong analytical and conceptual competence
· Able to handle issues from macro perspective and delve into details when needed

Key duties and responsibilities
· Quarterly analysis of the IFRS 17, TCF and SII reporting and landing – with strong business acumen, by working closely with one finance team, technical accounting and inforce management teams and market units. Including detailed variance analysis (actuals vs. plan, actuals vs. actuals) and identification of main drivers for variance.
· Coordinate & support the Operating Planning process, with strong communication to each market manager, critically analyse the OP results from financial model and identify the key drivers of the plan against expectation from the business
· Coordinate the annual budget setting process, and facilitate with the tracking of actual expenses against plan
· Support the preparation of management reporting including but not limited to Business Performance dashboard, Macro Market Memo, and Divisional FP&A Memo.
· Coordinate and project manage the tracking of remedial actions on underperforming treaties
· Provide procedures, tools, standard reporting and training for local entities
· Provide business analytical support on technical topics including but not limited to, IFRS 17, capital management, VNB attribution analysis, financial modelling, defining business requirements and reporting them back to key stakeholders.
· Adhoc analysis and support on group-wide projects such as hELIOS, annual strategic review, corporate governance, etc
· Provide technical supports on research projects requested by regional clients, and present key findings to clients as needed.
