Job description
Financial leadership and delivery of business initiatives and strategic objectives for the syndicate and UK legal entities in accordance with regulatory, Lloyd’s and SCOR standards. It will require the candidate to work with the UK executive and EMEA leadership team in formulating plans, assessing actual performance and providing insight to the Boards and senior management/stakeholders. Actively work with the EMEA regional teams in developing planning and performance monitoring capabilities for legal entities and branches in the EMEA region. In conjunction with the EMEA finance leadership, actively contribute and assist in finance projects including EMEA transformation objectives.
· Strong technical insurance and accounting skills essential
· IFRS, UK GAAP and Solvency II reporting experience (including Lloyd’s)
· Proven work experience within a Lloyd’s and Solvency 2 environment
· Strategic thinker, team player and willing to build collaborative approaches
· Very good understanding of Actuarial/Risk Assessment/Financial Techniques.
· Strong knowledge of insurance/reinsurance business and principles.

Required Education
· Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent experience
· In conjunction with the legal entity CEOs, Branch Managers, different executive teams and key stakeholders assist in the Business Planning process (IFRS and Lloyds GAAP)
· Responsible for production and analysis of financial plans and forecasts (under local and group standards)
· Develops key performance indicators that supports the legal entities strategic direction
· Develop FP&A processes to support the Board and EMEA leadership team in managing and assessing performance
· Active contribution to the setting of the strategy of the SCOR legal entities (with a focus on the regulated entities) and its operationalisation within the business through provision of financial analysis
· Develop capital and liquidity monitoring capabilities for the regulated entities, supporting the CFO in managing requirements in line with approved plans
· Monitor business written against both Internal and Lloyd’s plans and proactively steer, with the respective Executive teams, the achievement of these plans
· In conjunction with the CFO, Ceded RI Department, and Actuaries assess the suitability, capital efficiency and overall strategy of the outwards reinsurance programme
· Provide financial leadership on business initiatives, supporting senior management to achieve targets
· Finance lead on implementing operational capability to meet new business requirements including overseeing system and process enhancements
· Finance lead contact for Group Finance on projects concerning he EMEA region
· Work closely with the CFO and provide support on oversight of EMEA direct insurance entities
