Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing Specialty Insurance team. Responsibilities include event planning and coordination for a variety of client facing activities. The role will also oversee ‘SCOR For Good’ within our Chicago office. SCOR For Good promotes Corporate Social Responsibility engagement helping employees do good at work and contribute to causes they are passionate about.
Administrative support will also be provided to the various underwriting teams on an as needed basis.
· P&C commercial insurance experience preferred.
· Event planning or marketing experience preferred.
· Organized self starter with ability to work in a face paced environment
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to take initiative to prioritize and solve problems with limited guidance and supervision
· Detail and results oriented with ability to develop realistic action plans
· Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and the constantly changing needs of the department
· Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
· Ability to operate independently and to interact with internal and external contacts with professionalism

ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS:
· Assist the Regional Heads for Single Risk and MGA, along with the Head of Specialty Operations and various Line Managers when it comes to scheduling meetings, travel and logistics, while also monitoring travel policy compliance.
· When needed, provide backup support to the NY Administrative Assistant in support of the CEO and other executives in all secretarial tasks, including but not limited to agenda management, meeting set up, trip organization, expense reports and similar tasks.
· Ensure that any local events in Chicago, including executive meetings, townhalls, client visits and the like, are properly organized and executed, collaborating with appropriate staff and engendering teamwork.
· Reviews and processes vendor and outside counsel invoices submitted for approval and payment
· Other duties and special projects as assigned.
CONFERENCE LOGISTICAL PREPARATION AND SUPPORT:
· Provide marketing and logistic support for conferences and internal seminars including the preparation of meeting schedules for industry conferences such as RIMS, AON Property Symposium, and IRMI along with SCOR client events in the various regions.
· Manage logistics around internal events.
