Job description
The Claims Emerging Risks Summer Intern using both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to determine the potential trends and impacts of emerging risk claims on reinsurance contracts. Other job function expectations include ensuring appropriate file documentation and compliance, assisting direct manager with various departmental projects as necessary and interacting with other functions.
Skills and Experience:
Exceptional academic performance (3.0 or higher GPA)
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Willingness to be flexible and learn a variety of new skills quickly
Must be self-motivated, hardworking, analytical and proactive
Must be able to work well with individuals at all levels within the organization

Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and XL
Tableau proficiency is a plus
Required Education
In junior or senior year of an undergraduate degree program or completed first year of graduate studies
Participation in a 10-week intensive internship in Claims
Analyze and assess various emerging risk exposures and associated data and produce reports
Research and present a final project Claims and Operations Teams
