As part of the group's ongoing strategy to remain at the leading edge of aeronautical materials technology, you will contribute to the identification, analysis, and prototyping of next-generation solutions.
Support Safran's Research & Technology (R&T) activities on advanced fabrics, contributing to the identification, testing, and industrial assessment of innovative textile solutions for future products.
But what else? (advantages, specificities, etc.)
Support the identification and evaluation of innovative textile materials (e.g., fibers, yarns, woven/knitted/non‑woven fabrics, coatings, surface treatments) for advanced fabric applications.
Contribute to benchmarking of different textile architectures and finishing technologies against performance and sustainability criteria.
Participate in the assessment of new textile manufacturing and finishing processes (e.g., weaving, knitting, braiding, 3D fabrics, coating, laminating).
Assist in physical and/or chemical testing of fabrics (e.g., mechanical properties, durability, thermal behavior, surface characteristics).
Analyze test data, compare against specifications and environmental targets, and provide concise summaries.
Assist in small-scale trials and process parameter studies.
Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and sustainability teams to align fabric developments with Safran's roadmap.
Contribute to technical reports, test summaries, and presentations to support decision-making for future R&T projects.
Candidate skills & requirements
Ongoing studies towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Textile Engineering, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated interest or coursework in textile materials, fabric engineering, and/or textile manufacturing processes.
Analytical mindset, able to process technical data and synthesize results clearly.
