Job description
· Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)
Objective:
Responsible for all assembly-related functions dealing with product quality, on time delivery, and employee safety. Must have the ability to work independently while ensuring production goals are met, maintaining quality standards and adhering to safety regulations.
· Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
Main Function Responsibilities:
A) Ensures a safe workplace for employees.
B) Ensures that the product shipped from Safran Seats USA meets quality expectations and standards.
C) Responsible for schedule adherence.
D) Responsible for manpower adjustments due to schedule changes.
E) Responsible for maintaining product flow through assembly areas.
F) Responsible for all budgets and for keeping at or below acceptable levels.
G) Responsible for all excess parts found on floor to return to stock rooms.
H) Ensures performance measurements are monitored and plans are put in place to improve performance.
I) Responsible for identifying training required for assembly supervisors to continue to grow.
J) Conducts manufacturing meetings, reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly schedules using charts which are to be updated daily.
K) Collects, interprets, acts upon and reports key assembly statistical data.
L) Works with quality management to correct quality problems which are identified with products in the field.
M) Initiates and continuously improves internal quality programs to improve the final product and reduce product variance.
N) Initiates, supports, implements and protects the gains from Lean process improvements.
O) Identifies and makes corrective actions which result in scrap reduction cost which occurs monthly in assembly.
P) Ensures all MRR tags are processed within five working days.
Q) Ensures proper communications with support groups dealing with schedule changes or special shift support needs.
R) Responsible for adherence to union contract requirements.
S) Responsible for adherence to FAA and OSHA requirements.
T) Performs other duties as assigned.

· Qualification Requirements
A. Education & Qualification-
• Associate's degree required or 3 years related experience. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge-
• At least five years' experience in manufacturing processes.
• At least 2 years supervisory experience as a supervisor and/or superintendent in similar related work.
• FAA Repair Technician Certification preferred upon hire and required within ninety (90) days of employment
C. Professional Skills-
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be proficient in inventory management, product data management, and monitoring of production control and cost.
• Must have a working knowledge of manufacturing technology.
• Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
• Ability to read and review written communication.
• Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
