Global Technical Developer  

 

What We Need  

We are seeking a Global Technical Business Developer to work closely with our Global Account Manager to foster the expansion of Food & Protein Specialties in designated global accounts. This entails gaining a comprehensive knowledge of the account's strategies to effectively construct and implement the technical strategy.

What You’ll Do  

· 
Develop technical relationships and partnerships between Roquette and Global Account(s) in strong collaboration with Global Account manager. 

· 
Propose and execute the strategic technical plan in accordance with the global account manager. 

· 
Continuously ensure a clear understanding of the customer's expectations for the Roquette technical teams by creating a strong dynamic. 

· 
Promote and be accountable for developing interfaces/contacts in the technical team at the customers global account, generating strong collaboration with the Roquette technical team. 

· 
Lead coordination between regional technical developers and technical teams involved in the customer journey.   

· 
Lead technical support through collaboration with sales and lead with strong technical knowledge and a go-to market approach to growth commercial opportunities. 

· 
Participate in and define the technical action/ go-to market plan linked to Roquette’s commercial Sales strategy on market overseas. 

· 
Support innovation process through collaboration with customers’ technical team (s). 

· 
Oversee technical support to customers to speed our growth on the market on solutions we provide to the food market. 

· 
Identify new project opportunities through relationship building, networking, educational opportunities (like Lunch and Learns), trade shows and training events. Support and grow the Sales Funnel. 

· 
Support Roquette promotional campaigns to customers in coordination with Sales, Application, and Marketing. 

· 
Coordinate the relationship between the regional Roquette and customer’s food application team(s). 

 

What You’ll Need  

· 
MS in Food Science, Food Engineering, Food Chemistry, or equivalent. 

· 
12 to 20 years of industry food product development experience or food ingredients technical sales experience with strong interpersonal skills in transmission and commercial sense. 

· 
Experience in technical development will be well appreciated. 

· 
Strong business acumen: understanding the food ingredients distribution market & understanding the drivers for financial and business growth. 

· 
Strong collaboration skills: ability to work effectively in a transversal team environment including external stakeholders 

· 
Understanding of ingredients and usage; interactions and processing 

· 
Strong communication skills 

· 
Delivers messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner in different cultures 

· 
Actively listens and checks for understanding. 

· 
Ability to effectively present information to groups and respond to questions from external counterparts. 

· 
Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills e.g. delivering presentations. 

· 
Domestic and international travel (up to 30%) required. 

· 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word, excel, power-point,)
