Who We Are

Roche Diagnostics is home to more than 37,000 people across 50+ countries working to develop solutions and services that advance human health.

The Quality & Regulatory organisation partners with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure we meet worldwide quality compliance and regulatory submission requirements to allow for the timely delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality products and services to customers and patients.

Each one of us within Roche Diagnostics Communications is responsible for our company's success. With our communications expertise we will drive conversations and share our powerful story with employees, customers, patients, thought leaders and other key audiences. We help to build a culture that employees and customers are proud to be a part of, and in turn, have an impact on healthcare. We work with our colleagues to help shape and protect the company's reputation through strategic, proactive communications that engage, inform and inspire our colleagues and collaborators.

Role Purpose

As the Head of Communications, Diagnostics Quality & Regulatory you will be responsible for driving communications to help deliver on the Quality & Regulatory business priorities, and help to engage, inspire, and influence internal and external stakeholders.

You build a strong communications network because you understand the crucial role that Communications plays when translating key business priorities into communication strategies and outcomes that shape and protect the reputation and positioning of our company. An important element is to reach key stakeholders through proactive, integrated, audience-focused and impact-oriented communication.

To deliver on this, you rely on effective teamwork and collaboration with the broader Communications community, and will lead a small team of Communicators, and work across the network to pull in expertise to achieve business objectives. You seize the unique opportunity to transform the way we work in Diagnostics Communications and contribute to the shared leadership responsibility of creating excellence in communications at Roche.

To the Quality & Regulatory leadership team, you are not only a trusted strategic partner but also an integral member of the business. You embrace an agile mindset and are energised by change. You coach for fostering VACC leadership (visionary, architect, catalyst and coach) and advise on relevant communication approaches. You want to be a key player in transforming Diagnostics and develop new leadership skills in a fast-paced, rapidly changing industry/environment.

You role model the We@RocheDiagnostics dimensions and foster these in the rest of the organisation. You are willing to let go of command and control and deliberately push decisions to the lowest level, empowering teams to come up with innovative solutions.

You are convinced that skills and capabilities are as important as mindsets, behaviors and culture and you work to deliberately create an environment of curiosity and psychological safety for people to engage in that journey together with you.
