We have a fantastic and challenging opportunity to fully combine your recruiting or headhunting skills and Pharmaceutical experience to seek, attract and bring in the very best talent into Roche, now and for the future.
As Talent Scout you will be part of the Basel Talent Acquisition (TA) team, a group of highly skilled professionals within the Roche headquarter Recruitment Center of Excellence.
Our Talent Scouts support the most crucial business areas within Roche, especially: Roche Pharma Research & Early Development (pRED), Product Development (PD), Global Product Strategy (GPS), Pharma Global Technical Operations (PT), and Group Informatics.
In this highly strategic and challenging role your focus will be on the following core activities and responsibilities:
· Building effective business relationships with senior managers, recruiters and HR Business Partners to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the business and its current and future needs
· Identifying potential candidates meeting these needs, by utilising all available candidate sources globally (Roche candidate pool, Web 2.0, conferences, referrals etc.)
· Actively contacting potential candidates (typically via telephone or email) and assessing their availability and suitability for current or future positions at Roche by conducting recruitment interviews
· Manage relationships with potential candidates, nurture their interest and negotiate their successful move to Roche
· Actively create and implement innovative methods to source and attract the right people
· Be active part of the global team of Roche Group Talent Scouts

To be successful in this role and our team, you have extensive knowledge and experience of the pharmaceutical industry together with proven success as a recruiter or ‘headhunter' within this same arena, ideally with a focus on Pharma Research & Development or one of the other business areas mentioned above. You have expertise in building and maintaining relationships with the right talent, sourcing, screening and recruiting talent whilst displaying an active, tenacious and innovative approach to finding the right talent. First class communication and interpersonal skills are a requirement as you network and build long term relationships with both internal and external individuals at a very senior level. You are able to handle ambiguity without losing focus. You have high influential skills and are an excellent negotiator. Ability to work effectively within international and cross-divisional teams is one of your assets. You enjoy working and contributing by being a team member.
Furthermore, you possess the following experiences and competencies:
· Business fluent English language skills are required
· Growth mindset and openness to learn new things
· Work experience in a multinational matrix organisation is an asset
· Ideally a scientific educational background such as a Master or PhD in natural sciences or similar education relevant to the business areas we support
