The Position

We are looking for you to join Roche and our Services & Solutions Team in Budapest.

About the Global Digital Hub:

The Global Digital Hub has newly been established within Roche Services & Solutions Center. Our main purpose is to strengthen the digital capabilities of Roche globally by supporting central initiatives with Social Media Management, Brand Support, Digital Publishing Services, Marketing Automation, Copywriting and Creative Design.

About the position:

As a member of the Global Digital Hub Team, you will work to ensure fulfillment of the Global Digital Hub long term outcomes and strategy as well as excellent delivery of content creation priorities. As a Medical Writer, you will support the growing medical writing team within Roche Services & Solution Centre in developing medical writing & digital content solutions for our business partners.
You are responsible for formulating and identifying current and future content needs and developing different content creation initiatives. In addition, you work with relevant stakeholders to ensure the effective deployment of resources and tools to support and ensure that writing activities are conducted efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with the business needs.

The Medical Writer has responsibility for developing the content strategy of various business partners.

Your day to day responsibilities are:

As a Medical Writer you are a person who upholds the highest standards of scientific accuracy, quality and compliance with all applicable industry guidelines, local and international.

As a qualified expert, you:

  • Write and edit medical content for different formats / digital channels and platforms, including: information for patients, educational materials for HCPs (slides, posters, speaker briefs and presentations for conferences), newsletters, medical reports/study summaries, materials for use in public relations teams

  • May research, write and edit pre-clinical and/or clinical reports, summarizing data from pre-clinical and/or clinical studies

  • Assist in the development of formats and guidelines for clinical documentation. May prepare scientific manuscripts, abstracts and posters

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across a range of therapeutic areas, delivering on agreed timelines

  • Ensure that the content, format and structure comply with regulatory and other guidelines, as well as with Roche best practices

  • Monitor assigned tasks and manage own workload, taking ownership and anticipating capacity issues and potential solutions

  • Monitor deadlines and ensuring projects are delivered on time

  • Control quality and proofreading for scientific accuracy

  • Prepare content for LMR approval in VVPM (incl. referencing)

  • Partner with the Creative Artworker to develop content

  • Proactively contribute creative ideas, concepts or suggestions to provide added value 

  • Exercise excellent interpersonal/communication skills for effective and professional liaison with the internal team, clients, healthcare professionals and other key stakeholders and to obtain comprehensive briefs and responses to queries

  • Diligently keep up to date with, and follow, all applicable company standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Effectively partner with customers to understand their business needs and how content creation will contribute to their success. 

  • Quickly and effectively engage resources, utilizing both formal and informal networks to meet desired goals. Work closely with Business Partners

  • Make recommendations to improve service and responsiveness to business partners

What can you bring to our team:

We are looking for upbeat, dynamic individuals who are highly involved and passionate about content writing. Furthermore, you have:

  • Degree in medical sciences or similar

  • 2-4 years experience in a similar role

  • Effective time management and excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Collaborative attitude - working effectively across our diverse resources and business stakeholders

  • Ability to work within a team

  • Ability to interpret data

  • Native-level written and spoken English, additional languages (Spanish, Italian, German, Fren) are a big advantage

  • Excellent attention to detail, consistency, clarity and scientific rigor

  • Customer-service mentality & can-do attitude

  • Natural communicator and relationship builder 

  • Experience with the standard IT-applications, preferably including Google suite

  • Accountable, focused, precise attitude

  • Continuous improvement and growth mindset

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment, ability to prioritize tasks

  • Quick learner, passionate about technologies

  • Good interpersonal skills to work as part of a team combined with ability to engage with leaders
