The Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic and energetic leader who is committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience by tailoring our navify digital solutions within our overall core lab solution.  The Group Marketing Manager (GMM), Digital Solutions (cobas infinity, navify monitoring, navify analytics, and future pipeline solutions) is accountable for driving business impact through the development and delivery of marketing strategy and execution of navify digital solutions across the Core Lab business. This individual will lead a team of marketers, providing a clear vision and focus on desired outcomes in order to drive strategy and execution excellence.  The GMM will also be accountable for coaching and developing each individual on the Digital Solutions team.  This individual will be responsible for owning significant business deliverables and ensuring efficient and appropriate commercial investments.  The GMM is expected to collaborate and influence global product development teams to deliver desired customer experience outcomes and enable the US affiliate to drive topline results and support attainment of Core Lab P&L goals. The GMM and the Digital Solutions team must effectively collaborate and partner with multiple US Core Lab Marketing Teams (Customer Marketing, Reagents, Automation, Point of Care Marketing), Global RIS and RDS teams, US Core Lab Sales, Corporate Accounts, Supply Chain, Roche Service Network, Commercial Education, Sales Operations, and other functions as needed.

Job Facts:

  • Reports to the Vice President of Core Lab Marketing and serves as a member of the Core Lab Marketing Leadership Team--a team of 6 people leaders representing Systems, Automation, Clinical Marketing, Reagents, Digital, and Customer Marketing

  • Responsible for the day-to-day oversight of 3 marketing managers, with the potential to grow in size over time

  • Responsible for the day-to-day alignment, enablement, project coaching and oversight of the Digital Solutions marketing team

  • Responsible for the development of the US Core Lab Digital Solutions strategy in collaboration with the US VP Digital Healthcare Solutions, Sales Leadership and Service Leadership. This will require effective change management with internal stakeholders

  • Primary US point of contact to our global Digital solutions team

  • Accountable for our digital solutions portfolio (launch and lifecycle management), inclusive of our currently approved portfolio and the launch of all future digital solutions

  • Accountable for meeting long-term (3-5 year) and short-term (90-day) priorities and strategic outcomes for specific area of responsibility within Core Lab Marketing

  • Collaborates across the leadership team to deliver digital solutions in the context of the total Core Lab solution

  • Responsible and accountable for investment decisions and budget management with an enterprise mindset

  • Coaches and advises direct reports on the responsibilities below:

    • Technical product expertise, i.e. Subject Matter Expert, to be leveraged in key customer engagements

    • Deep understanding of the Core Lab Strategy and customer segmentation

    • Deep understanding of current and future competitors and how our Roche solutions should be positioned to compete

    • Analyze and assess research to extrapolate meaning and opportunities to define product positioning in existing and potential markets

    • Partner with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to clearly define and execute marketing strategies and activities, including product lifecycle planning, coordination of technical product development, pricing strategies, promotional activities, product launch and sunsetting

    • Ensure high quality tactical execution and a seamless, well integrated brand message across multiple marketing platforms

    • Create and drive strong linkage to Sales and Corporate Accounts, Support Network, Digital Marketing and Customer Insights to ensure achievement of objectives with successful stakeholder engagement and effective resolution of issues

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and relevant organizations

    • Accountable for partnering with Sales to identify and foster Referenceable Roche accounts

    • Ensure development of compliant and effective promotional tactics that align to the product strategy and influence effective pull-through of these tactics. Partners closely with Legal and Regulatory organizations
       

  • Partner with the Customer Marketing Director in the development of customer marketing solutions for Must Win and Top 47 Accounts

  • Partner with finance and sales on forecasting activities

  • Remove organizational barriers that impact employee engagement or customer experience

  • Responsible for employment decisions including recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching to develop a high performing Digital Solutions marketing team

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or related business or scientific field

  • 5 years of progressive marketing experience or equivalent work experience

  • 1 year of direct or indirect leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IT expertise and/or prior IT marketing experience

  • Healthcare industry experience

  • Demonstrated change management capabilities in multiple settings

  • Proven record of navigating a highly matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders

  • Proven ability to influence without authority, including strong stakeholder management

  • Exceptional record of working across teams to deliver results

  • Ability to make courageous decisions with high stakes

  • Proven ability to make customer-centric business decisions

  • Prior supervisor experience with a proven track record of coaching and developing others

  • Prior product launch experience

  • Proven enterprise mindset

  • Model and lead operational excellence - translate strategy into simple operational plans with well-defined KPIs
