You’ll be working within the Affiliate Enablement Team, the driving force which enables the UK business to operationalise strategy and tactics to give our patients and customers the best options available.


Purpose


Roche is seeking an Events & Congress team member to help develop objectives and strategies for the overall effectiveness and execution of external customer engagement events, such as medical conferences and congresses, and internal events such as staff conferences. 
The role manages and executes projects and marketing plans intended to maximize company exposure and meet patient ambitions.  It helps define congress participation and a strategic calendar of events for different priority therapy areas, builds relationships and works with a spectrum of internal and external stakeholders and resources to obtain needed materials and services and directs an exhibit design program including production.


Your profile


You are an enthusiastic, capable and self-driven events professional with solid customer and stakeholder awareness, you should be capable of identifying unmet customer needs and developing effective and creative solutions to address those needs.
We are looking for someone who is system-savvy and who is keen to learn, who can apply critical thinking and create collaborative relationships across the organisation.
On occasions, you may be required to travel nationally and internationally to conduct site visits and manage events to ensure they run smoothly.
Previous Pharma experience is preferred but not essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • You will be accountable for the delivery of projects and initiatives which you initiate and to which you are aligned.
  • You will project manage multiple events at any one time which meet objectives from conception to completion
  • You will develop and maintain impactful relationships with key external suppliers 
  • You will create connections across the business to share ideas, experiences and innovative ways of working that develop
  • and increase productivity 
  • You will align your personal purpose to the organisations focus of delivering better outcomes to more patients, faster
  • You will act as a guardian for high standards of compliance, ethics and safety; putting patients at the centre of all actions by consistent business behaviour that complies with applicable laws, industry codes and Roche’s Code of Conduct
  • You will own your development to ensure you are continually growing skills and capabilities in line with your passion and the needs of the Organisation (present and future)
  • You will increasingly demonstrate the VACC (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach) roles, as you develop your personal skills and capabilities, to positively support colleagues
