Job description

The Position

Job Summary :

Responsible for clinical engagement planning, customer management, activity execution, strategic Initiatives and investments with focus on assigned product portfolio as well as clinical selling strategy (mainly for cardio-metabolic portfolio)

Main Tasks & Responsibilities :

Disease area-based position responsible for developing and enhancing professional relationships with healthcare professionals across various specialty networks including Cardiovascular, endocrinology, nephrology and Emergency Medicine and so on.

  • Provide scientific, technical and healthcare-economic information to customers.
  • Key Account Management approach to fortify product adoption across specialties.
  • Deliver clinical educational information and clinical support to nurses, medical technicians and other medical professionals.
  • Organize and carry out seminars and information sessions for healthcare professionals and other customers or potential customers.
  • Act as a business owner for all or part of a diagnostic product or brand within Field Medical Liaisons, developing a deep penetrating actions of all relevant sales and marketing information.
  • Involve in respective Global/Regional Disease Area Network or other related teams/networks that target to focus on disease management or clinical uptake of high medical value solutions
  • Clinical intelligence. Thoroughly understand competitive brands and their solution & Immunology Testing sells and provide the sales organization with appropriate positioning and tools to differentiate product(s) versus the competition in a profitable manner that adds clinical and medical value to the customer
  • Deeping plowing business and clinical relationship with target stakeholders including clinical experts and technicians in responsible territories/hospitals
  • Establishing interaction with KOL (Key Opinion Leader), medical societies, clinical experts and technicians to improve and strengthen the end users' sense of identity to Roche products so as to apply to more patients

Sales Objectives Achievement

  • Provide in-depth information to execute sales strategy, initiatives and actions, collect market trend such as competition, question set, objection handling & role play
  • Drive the process of responding to responsible products adoption increase via key account management approach and clinical selling strategy
  • Collaborate with customer success partner, distributors, business partners to acquire key customer projects / tenders of channel filling and new service tender
  • Receive and handle queries from customers regarding scientific, technical and healthcare-economic information.
  • Achieve sales objectives assigned to responsible territories / accounts

Support Portfolio Management / Supports for cardio-metabolic and assigned products

  • Capture and provide precise insights of disease/clinical management practice for market analysis, understanding and mapping needs of customers
  • Develop and co-drive sub region/country disease strategy and focus area according to market maturity, co-lead disease strategy development, clinical data by identifying gaps along the patient journey, with an aim to identify investment opportunities and to shape the ecosystem, and collaborate with Roche stakeholders in jointly looking into opportunities as required
  • Understand, co-develop & co-implement strategies and actions for the promotion and sales of the Roche product portfolio across various disease areas
  • Deliver the core value of on-label products and the clinical applications to drive adoption of the marketing mix.  Incorporate all aspects of the marketing mix including the ability to segment, target and position appropriately,

Support New Product Launch

  • Support medical/clinical engagement plan, to co-develop and execute the launch readiness and intended use expansion plan.

Internal Communication

  • Interface with internal stakeholders for tasks and projects collaboration, insight exchange as needed, to effectively grow the business profitably, while maintaining a customer focus.
  • Management of Key Projects and Initiatives

External Communication

  • Interface with Immunology customers and key opinion leaders including consultants, clinicians and medical laboratory personnel and patients, as needed, to effectively grow the business profitably, while maintaining a customer focus.

Basic Requirements of the Job :

Education :

  • University degree in Clinical Diagnostics Science or Business Administration is required (e.g. BSc, M.D)
  • Profound knowledge in the field of Immunology Testing and a comprehensive understanding of Immunology Testing workflow and processes in the laboratory and clinician. 
  • Knowledge about medical aspects of cardio-metabolic diseases, diabetes, Immunology.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years customer-facing experience as sales role or medical/clinical affairs practician in related industry is required.
  • Experience in Cardiovascular, endocrinology, nephrology and Emergency Medicine product lines customer support activities, incl. medical education, online/offline engagement initiatives, training, sales and marketing activities preferred.
  • Establishing interaction with KOL (Key Opinion Leader), clinical experts and technicians.
  • Keen business sense and understanding for customer needs, confidence to interact with all management levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in project management and strong achievement in past work experience as a plus.

Specific Knowledge & Skills :

  • Strategic approach to disease management
  • Experience on account management, key account management shall be preferred as a plus
  • Creativity and accountability, Ability to focus and prioritize.
  • Distinct self-motivation as well as a proactive, structured and result-oriented work style.
  • Good theoretical knowledge of sales tools and practical experience with their application.
  • Ability to train others and create enthusiasm for a technical product.
  • Fluency in English as a plus, knowledge of further languages advantageous.
  • Good and fluent in both written and oral communication skills including presentation skills.  Confident user of MS Office, esp. of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Professional conduct with interpersonal skills and customer focused.
  • Positive working attitude with a sense of urgency and result oriented.
  • Able to work as well as an effective team player.
