The Opportunity:

The Core Lab team excels at being tenacious in the face of intense competition and is seeking a creative and strategic individual that is excited by the challenge of leading a newly organized team within marketing.
The Customer Area Lead is accountable to drive business impact through development and delivery of marketing strategy and execution across the Core Lab Portfolio. This individual will lead a team of marketers, providing a clear vision and focus on desired outcomes in order to drive marketing strategy and execution excellence, as well as ensure professional development of a team of Individual Contributors. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for owning significant business deliverables, ensuring efficient and appropriate investment to drive topline results and supporting attainment of Core Lab P&L goals. They and their team will be required to effectively collaborate and partner with our Corporate Accounts, Sales, Market Access, Medical & Scientific Affairs, as well as Global colleagues to unlock the power of joint value delivery across the Core Lab Customer Area.
Job Facts:
Accountable for meeting long-term (3-5 year) and short-term (90-day) network priorities and marketing strategic goals for the Core Lab Customer Area and the Cardiometabolic, Infectious Diseases and Central Nervous System Disease Area Networks
Responsible for the day-to-day alignment, enablement, project coaching and oversight of marketing team members
Reports to the Marketing Management Lead and serves as a member of the Marketing Leadership Team
Develops and executes Core Lab value proposition and the end-to end customer marketing strategy for specified accounts
Partners with the Field Sales and Corporate Accounts organizations and other Core Lab functions to develop a comprehensive strategic business plan that drives priorities
Responsible for managing investment decisions to ensure profitability while also maximizing resources across the business with an enterprise mindset
Leads and/or participates in fit for purpose and flexibly deployed work teams across Core lab and other chapter networks based on their areas of expertise
Fully focused on value creation and delivery towards Customer and Disease Areas
Establishes a clear joint purpose and common priorities; models and drives transparency around priorities to avoid siloed activities
Empowers and supports teams to take on decision making
Coaches and advises Marketing Managers on the responsibilities below:
Analyze and assess research to extrapolate meaning and opportunities that drives overall market strength and positioning in existing and potential markets
Identify and work regularly with appropriate internal and external resources to support marketing strategies and activities
Ensures high quality tactical execution and a seamless, well integrated brand message and overall position across multiple marketing platforms
Creates strategy, messaging and resources for the Core Lab organization. Partners with the Sales and Corporate Accounts, Support Network, Customer experience, Market Access, and Analytics to establish and monitor metrics for tactical roll out of marketing activities
Ensures development of compliant and effective promotional tactics and effective pull-through of these tactics.
Responsible for all employment decisions for their team including recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching to develop a high performing marketing team, which may include people in multiple locations
Who You Are:
At least 3 years of progressive sales/marketing experience or equivalent work experience in IVD field.
Japanese-Native Level
English-Business level and be able to communicate with Global/APAC.
Preferred Requirements:
Demonstrates a minimum of Advanced Level capabilities across the marketing capabilities framework (Customer, Product and Market Insights, Financial Acumen, Value Creation, Business Strategy, Customer Experience, Market Execution, Account Marketing and Partnerships)
Demonstrates expertise in all aspects of Product and Account Based Marketing to include positioning, branding, campaign development, channel mix and outcomes based measurement
Deep knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem including health economics, policy and the Core Laboratory regulatory environment
Demonstrated expertise in thinking with an enterprise mindset
Ability to influence and inspire individuals and teams across the Core lab and other chapter network, from front-line colleagues to the executive level
Breadth of experience in healthcare marketing and commercial organizations
Ability to flex and thrive in an ambiguous environment undergoing transformational change
Ability to translate strategic direction into action plan for self and team, and make progress in the face of ambiguity
