Coordinate and manage the supply chain to meet the strategic objectives of the entity.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
- Coordinate and manage the supply chain to align with the strategic objectives of the entity.
- Ensure a portfolio of suppliers delivers the required levels of service.
- Develop tactical plans to optimize resources and assets within a specific area or department.
- Execute planning activities for one or two manufacturing/distribution units, considering dependencies on other processes, units, or suppliers.
- Provide input to the overall supply planning framework and systems.
- Monitor, review, and identify gaps in supplier performance, recommending improvements or renegotiating contracts as necessary.
- Implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure continuous improvement outcomes in a major area of work.
- Communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team, explaining the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values.
- Motivate team members to commit to these goals and achieve local business objectives.
- Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team, setting appropriate performance objectives and holding individuals accountable.
- Take corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team and personal objectives.
- Develop and deliver budget plans with guidance from senior colleagues.
- Use the organization's formal development framework to identify individual development needs within the team.
- Plan and implement actions, including continuing professional development specified by professional or regulatory institutions, to build professional capabilities.
- Provide informal training or coaching to others in the organization to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
- A Master's Degree or equivalent level of education is required.
- Substantial general work experience and comprehensive job-related experience in supply chain management are necessary to be fully competent in this role.
- Experience in planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by senior managers is essential.
