Founded in Brussels in 1829, Delvaux is the oldest fine leather goods house in the world, crafting and designing without interruption in its workshops since then. Delvaux is the inventor of the modern handbag, having filed the first-ever leather handbag patent in the world, in 1908. Among its extremely rich archive of over 3,000 designs, Delvaux’s emblematic creations include The Brillant (1958), The Tempête (1967), The Pin (1972) and The Lingot (2022). Steeped in emblematic addresses around the world, from Saint-Honoré to New Bond Street to Fifth Avenue, all 60 Delvaux boutiques are different. Official purveyor to the Royal Court of Belgium since 1883, Delvaux has always shared and celebrated Belgian cultural references and values.
We are seeking a dynamic an detail-oriented Press Intern to support our communication team with showroom coordination and press-related activities. This role involves managing sample logistics, maintaining showroom organization, and supporting press agencies with content and samples requests. Additionally, the intern will have the exciting opportunity to join us at Paris Fashion Week, playing an integral role in supporting press and media operations during this key event. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
The tasks:
- Showroom Coordination:
Maintain a tidy and organized showroom, ensuring it is always ready for visits;
Manage sample logistics, tracking allocations and returns;
Prepare stylist and event bag selections using available options;
Coordinate with press agencies for smooth sample loans;
Manage daily reception of mail and parcels.
- Press and Media Support:
Plan and organize press trips, including hotel, restaurant, and transportation arrangements;
Oversee the translation and distribution of press releases;
Create press link pages with all necessary assets for media access;
Prepare and distribute press kits following collection launches;
Monitor and manage press reviews, WW coverage and press alerts, ensuring real-time tracking of online and offline media;
- Fashion Week Coordination:
Join the team at Paris Fashion Week, supporting press sample management and logistics ;
Assist in coordinating guest lists;
Provide on-site support for media and press inquiries during Fashion Week events;
Manage media monitoring through the monitoring platforms.
Profile:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications/Public Relations or economics;
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Excellent communication skills and attention to details;
- Proactive and resourceful;
- Interest in press and media relations within the fashion or luxury industries;
- Fluent in French and English;
- Familiarity with logistics platform SAP, launchmetrics and Lebi is a plus.
