Transportation Payables Coordinator

Reports to: Transportation Manager
Role Overview
The Transportation Payables Coordinator is responsible for managing all freight payables for Richemont North America (RNA), ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role involves analyzing freight costs, identifying process improvements, and utilizing systems like Microsoft Access to accurately allocate financial data, contributing to efficient financial operations and cost control within the organization.
Responsibilities
Manage all freight payables for all functions within Richemont North America (RNA) and perform freight costs analysis.
· Develop and implement a routine to ensure all freight accounts remain current and are paid on time, utilizing vendor statements and coordinating directly with vendors as needed.
· Utilize the internal Microsoft Access database to accurately allocate general ledger and cost centers for high-volume invoices.
· Analyze payable processes, identify opportunities and implement changes to improve efficiency.
· Create and maintain up-to-date work instructions for all tasks related to freight payable responsibilities.
· Work closely with vendors to ensure accounts are current and avoid any service disruptions
Qualifications
· HS diploma required, additional college preferred or 2 years relevant experience
· Relevant accounts payable experience
· Process improvement and customer focused mindset
· Strong problem solving skills and proven ability to multi-task
· High learning agility
· Advanced user of MS Suite: particularly in MS Excel and MS Access
· SAP knowledge is a plus
· Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
· Strong collaborator with team members and business partners
· Strong integrity and work ethic with an ability to self manage
· Strong time management skills.
