Job description

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

The IT Systems Administrator will be the single point of contact and be responsible for maintaining PMI’s computer systems, networks, and applications with support from HQ. Ensuring availability of critical business systems and providing technical expertise will be a key function of this role. As an integral part of our infrastructure team, this role requires a working knowledge of Cybersecurity and IT best practices.

·  Build and maintain systems to include servers, networks, applications, etc.
·  Manage and resolve tickets by providing 1st to 3rd line technical support to end users.
·  Create, maintain and update documentation relating to all hardware and software systems.
·  Work with the HQ security team to ensure compliance to maintain PMI Security standards on all systems.
·  Maintain and manage the local disaster recovery process and documentation.
·  Serve as an escalation point for IT support technicians and internal stakeholders.
·  Follow security best practices when deploying, upgrading, maintaining IT systems and services.
·  Experience in project management.
·  Ensure monitoring systems are in place and documented.
·  Knowledge of ITIL and Prince 2 would be desirable.
·  Seeks continuous improvement opportunities and ensures complete lifecycle of implementation of systems and processes that support the overall organization.
·  Availability outside of regular hours for escalations and special projects will be required.

 

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

·  Working knowledge of networks and related protocols.
·  Experience working with Microsoft Azure
·  Skilled at troubleshooting, reporting and escalating IT related issues.
·  Experience in managing an O365 environment (Hybrid Cloud a plus)
·  Working knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware
·  Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to shifting priorities
·  Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
·  Technical competence in installing and configuring new hardware/software/systems.
·  Comfortable with PowerShell and other scripting technologies
·  Proven history of process implementation and management
·  Linux experience preferred
·  Previous experience within a server/network/systems support role
·  Exposure to Enterprise backup solutions (Rubrik, Veeam, etc.) and Microsoft Intune
·  Ability to work well independently and collaborate as part of a team in a fast-paced, growing company
·  Experience in managing Active Directory, group policies, and domain replication
·  Security training/certification a plus (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent)
