Import Specialist

Richemont | Grand Prairie TX

 

 

Role Overview:

 

Import Specialist must have technical expertise and in-depth knowledge in all aspects of import and/or logistics management. The Specialist is responsible for supporting Richemont North America, Inc. import activities.

 

Responsibilities :

 

To be successful, an individual must be able to perform each one of the following essential duties satisfactorily:

 

·  Support Richemont North America, Inc. daily inbound operations.
·  Work closely with customs brokers to secure prompt releases from US Customs and Partner Government Agencies (PGA).
·  Verify shipment documentation for proper valuation, classification, country of origin, Other Government Agencies (OGA)/Partner Government Agencies (PGA) requirements, and record retention.
·  Perform special tasks related to import operations as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

·  High School Diploma or GED.
·  2 or more years of logistics experience and or College Degree (preferred not required).
·  Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
·  Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
·  Detail and quality oriented with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
·  Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·  Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
·  Functional knowledge of MS Access and SAP (preferred not required).
·  Understanding of U.S. import/export regulations including CBP, FWS, FDA, USDA, and BIS (preferred not required).
·  Functional knowledge of import / export processes, controls, and documentation (preferred not required).
·  Knowledge and understanding of the Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS) (preferred not required).
·  Functional knowledge of global logistics and Incoterms (preferred not required).
