Come and join our IT Team based in our historic HQ in Brussels.
We are currently embarking on an ambitious digital transformation project, leveraging the latest Google Cloud technologies to redefine how IT supports a historic global brand.
As a Data Engineer, you will be a key player in this evolution. You will be working in our IT-team that bridges the gap between IT and business stakeholders. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow professionally through hands-on training and sparring with leading experts in the GCP ecosystem.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
As a data engineer, you will be working with
Data Architecture & Modeling
- Data Warehousing: In-depth knowledge of Google BigQuery optimization (advanced SQL, partitioning, clustering, and efficient data loading).
- Dimensional Modeling: Experience designing scalable data models tailored for high-performance analytics is a major plus.
- Modern Data Stack: Expertise using dbt (or equivalent transformation tools) to build modular, version-controlled, and well-documented transformation layers.
Engineering & Infrastructure
- Orchestration & Pipelines: Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow (Cloud Composer) for complex workflow scheduling.
- Development: Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and API interactions.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Basic knowledge of Terraform to manage and deploy cloud resources is a significant advantage.
- Observability: Ability to use Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging to ensure pipeline health and high availability.
Business Intelligence
- Data Visualization: Knowledge of Looker (including LookML) or Looker Studio to design intuitive reporting layers that empower business users to make data-driven decisions.
YOUR PROFILE
Who You Are:
- Experience: Typically 2+ years in Data Engineering, with a strong focus on the Google Cloud Platform and experience handling large datasets.
- Problem-Solver: You possess strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex data issues and design effective, long-term solutions.
- Communicator: You can collaborate effectively in an Agile environment, translating technical concepts for business analysts and stakeholders.
- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field is required.
- Certification: A Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification is a big plus.
- Language: French & English (B2+)
- Status: Permanent Belgian work authorization required.
