TRAINEE MERCHANDISER
Location: Reading, Berkshire (25 mins from London Paddington)
Starting Salary: £24,395
As a Trainee Merchandiser at Primark you will be a key support role in the Merchandising team. Reporting into the Merchandiser your key responsibilities include :
Sales & Stock Monitoring:
Assisting the Assistant Merchandiser & Merchandiser in delivering sales, stock turn and contribution budgets. You will set up and manage line projections in line with department and company deadlines. Recommend OTB and intake rescheduling and identify and manage any trading risks. Awareness of the WSSIs.
Analysis & Administration:
Responsible for investigating and solving data inaccuracies and produce analysis reports on a weekly, periodical or adhoc basis including strategy, sign off and store range presentations. Chase deliveries and shipping documentation and highlight any issues. Organise air freight where requested.
Range development & manage range content:
Awareness of the development of range and option plans and any store or style grading amendments
Support team & developing Trainee Merchandiser:
Take responsibility for own development as well as assist with the training of new Trainee Merchandisers. Regularly communicate with the Buying team.
In order to be considered for this position you will need to be have a degree or post A-level qualification in Merchandising, Retail Management, Business or Maths or be an existing talented Merchandising Assistant that is used to working in a fast paced environment.
