Reporting, Accounting & Control Process Accountant
Reports to: Global Process Owner – Financial Reporting
Purpose of role:
Support the GPO in Financial Reporting in the delivery of documented, and ongoing support for E2E processes across Financial Reporting and Finance. Youwill be responsible for ensuring these processes are current and kept up to date. You willalso be responsible for developing new processes to respond to any strategic initiatives the business enters into.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support the documentation of E2E processes for Financial Reporting
· Build relationships with key stakeholders in Financial Operations, Internal Control, Finance Business Partnering and with Internal and External Audit
· Identify opportunities for process improvement, working with relevant stakeholders to drive change
· Support Global Process Owners in implementing control improvements and change management
· Ongoing management of risk within the Financial Reporting team, and beyond where required
· Development/Implementation of a repository for process documentation
· Plan, manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously
· Promote best practices throughout the team
· Support the implementation of new processes for new market entry and other strategic initiatives
· Present findings and status updates to management in a clear and concise format
· Collaborate with all stakeholders, both internal and external
· Provide training to team members on any new changes as well as ongoing pre-emptive measures
· On boarding of strategic initiatives & projects
· Collaboration across finance team particularly finance systems and transformation
· Other related ad hoc activities, as required
Essential knowledge, skills and experience:
· Strong understanding of the foundational finance processes
· Excellent attention to detail with an ability to analyse and interrogate high volumes of data as well as demonstrating an ability to focus on higher level overview
· Experience in process mapping
· Experience working on transformation programmes/change programmes desired across people, process & systems
· Strong, clear communication skills (written and verbal)
· Effective and persuasive facilitation skills, including the ability to present complex information in an understandable manner to all areas of the business
· Demonstrates strong relationship management skills and ability to influence decision making among senior stakeholders
· Excellent planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule and work within agreed timescales
Successful candidates will meet the following criteria:
· Educated to degree level +
· Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
· 3+ years PQE having worked in finance
· Prior experience in an audit environment may be an advantage
· Process oriented with a logical mind-set, using reasoning consistently to come to the correct conclusion
· Strong financial and analytical acumen
· Thrive in a fast-paced environment
· Demonstrate initiative with strong work ethic
· Proven experience working in a large organisation with multi-currency and multi-national exposure
