Job Description
Purpose of role : Act as the primary point of contact for all communication regarding stock control matters, including discrepancies and queries. To ensure the effective programme of Perpetual Inventory is monitored, reported and completed within the required timescales.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintaining site counts to ensure target availability of products
· Setting operational standards for all staff to follow
· Managing excess and ageing stock
· Reviewing service levels on a continuous basis
· Using electronic inventory tracking to scan stock and reconcile inventory
· Putting forward recommendations for operational policy, procedures and goals
· Creating and maintaining reports to enable analysis of data
· Maintaining effective relationships with internal customers
· Investigating store complaints
· Manage, solve & eliminate process exceptions on Heavey
· Investigate stock adjustments prior to them being sent to JDA
· Perform Approval of adjustments that are outside the adjustment threshold on JDA
· Allocation of staff to ensure discrepancy tasks are dealt with in a timely fashion – e.g. Short picks
· Put Proactive measures in place to prevent allocation shortages
· To help the operation solve allocation shortages – prioritise this work load to ensure orders are satisfied
· Achievement of personal development objectives
· To analyse and report the record of adjustments on the Cycle Counting and Inventory checks
· To investigate and report on discrepancies between Primark and site stock records following the required stock takes at Islip
· To identify causes of stock discrepancies
· To work with the Operations Team to prepare and oversee the implementation of action plans to reduce stock errors and discrepancies
· To audit all operational processes to identify causes of inventory errors
· To investigate discrepancies on inbound and outbound processes and documentation Essential knowledge, skills & experience
· Minimum 3+ years in Logistics industry
· Strong proven track record of working within a logistics / supply chain function
· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all management levels
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to highlight and challenge relevant issues
· Motivated self-starter with the ability to initiate relevant projects and analysis
· Strong team player who is confident and personable
· Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
