CANTEEN Duties
Working as part of the back of house team, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining high standards in our store canteen. This will include cleaning tables, crockery & cutlery, managing dishwasher, managing coffee and tea facilities & general canteen housekeeping & cleanliness. Please note that the canteen assistant is also responsible for supporting in other areas of back of house as/when required. Reporting to the cash office manager, you will have a chance to support the team if needed.
Role duties may include:
· Keeping kitchen area clean and tidy; free of dishes and clutter
· Canteen seating area clean and tidy, free of hazards and ready for use
· Visual checks for furniture and portable equipment for any damages or broken parts
· Maintaining and cleaning fridges, microwaves and freezer
· Reporting any issues with vending machines
· Computer area checks and reporting any issues to relevant department
· Emptying canteen bins and ensuring recycling is followed by all colleagues
· Keeping on top of coffee/tea supplies and prevent waste
· Reporting any lost property to cash office
· Ensuring all cabinets and drawers are emptied and cleaned regularly, managing expired food and drinks out of storage, fridge or freezer
· Keep water dispenser’s trays clean
· Any spillages report to the cleaner.
· Keep the canteen tidy at all times.
· Supporting the back of house team clearing baskets and/or cash office, when required (please note, for cash office support, training will be provided).
